The government of China is getting ready to spend about $10 billion of its previously announced $586 billion economic-stimulus package, the state newspaper the Economic Observer reported, quoting an unidentified official of the National Development and Reform Commission. This phase of stimulus spending will principally go into infrastructure projects, the newspaper said.
